Frequently Asked Questions
When your vehicle is damaged, it’s always best to take care of it sooner rather than later. Exposed metal from chipped paint can lead to corrosion and rust, which only gets worse over time. Getting the damage repaired right away helps protect your investment, extend your vehicle’s lifespan, and preserve its resale value.
We know you may have some questions before moving forward, and we’re here to help. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common auto body repair questions we get at Mysticz Auto Body. If there’s anything we didn’t cover, feel free to call or email us—we’re always happy to walk you through it.
We get this question a lot—especially from customers dealing with accidents or fender benders. With the advanced sensors and technology in today’s vehicles, even minor damage can lead to major repair costs. It’s not uncommon for the initial estimate to be more than expected, which is why many repairs end up going through insurance.
The good news? Mysticz Auto Body works directly with insurance companies to help streamline the process and reduce your out-of-pocket costs. Coverage can vary depending on your policy—whether you have collision, comprehensive, or both—but we’re here to help you understand your options and make the process as smooth as possible.
In most cases, for collision repairs, we can complete your initial estimate in just 10 to 20 minutes. For hail damage, we take a more detailed approach right from the start, so those estimates usually take about an hour. We want to make sure nothing gets missed and that you have a clear, accurate picture of the work needed.
If you're on a tight schedule, no worries—you’re welcome to drop off your vehicle, and we’ll follow up with the estimate by phone or email.
For collision estimates, feel free to walk-in at any time to get your free estimate completed.
For hail damage estimates, we do request that you schedule with us ahead of time, by calling in or emailing us with a time that works for you.
This is one of the most common questions we get—and a totally fair one. Sometimes, the full extent of the damage isn’t visible until we start disassembling your vehicle. Once we get into the repair process, we may discover additional damage that wasn’t obvious during the initial estimate.
If that happens, we’ll always keep you in the loop. We’ll contact both you and your insurance company before moving forward with any extra work. At Mysticz Auto Body, we don’t believe in surprise charges or unexpected bills—just clear communication and quality repairs you can trust.
Every repair is unique, so it's tough to give an exact timeframe right off the bat. At Mysticz Auto Body, we take the time to carefully assess the damage, check on parts availability, and map out the full scope of the work before giving you a time estimate.
While we always aim to get your vehicle back to you as quickly as possible, we never cut corners. Quality comes first—and that means doing the job right the first time, not rushing through it. We'll keep you updated throughout the process so you always know where things stand.
OEM parts are made by your vehicle’s original manufacturer, which means they’re built to match your car’s exact specs, fit, and performance. They’re often the best choice when it comes to keeping things just like the factory intended.
Aftermarket parts, on the other hand, are made by third-party companies. They can be a more budget-friendly option and still get the job done, depending on the brand and your vehicle’s needs.
At Mysticz Auto Body, we’ll always walk you through your options—OEM or aftermarket—based on your car’s age, insurance coverage, warranty considerations, and what makes the most sense for your repair. Our goal is to help you make the best choice for your ride, not just the fastest one.
This is a great question, and one we hear often. While a small touch-up might seem simple, perfectly matching your vehicle’s paint is actually one of the most complex parts of the repair process.
Each car manufacturer creates its own standard paint colors and provides specific formulations. Auto body paint manufacturers then try to match those standards—but because there are multiple paint brands and variables in production, subtle differences between formulations are almost always present. On top of that, paint color can change over time due to sun exposure, weather, and aging. Even if we use the exact factory code, your car’s current finish may no longer be an exact match.
That’s why, at Mysticz Auto Body, we use advanced color-matching technology and blending techniques to get the most seamless result possible. Blending involves painting into the adjacent panels—not just the damaged area—so the slight variations are hidden and the color looks consistent across the vehicle.
Our goal is to make the repair invisible, and we’ll always walk you through the process so you know what to expect before we start.
What is paintless dent repair (PDR)?
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is one of the quickest, cleanest ways to fix minor dents—without messing with your vehicle’s original paint job. It’s a technique we use at Mysticz Auto Body to gently massage out dents from the back side of the panel, using specialized tools that preserve the factory finish.
PDR works best for smaller dents where the paint hasn't been cracked or chipped—think hail damage, door dings, and minor bumps. It's faster than traditional body work, more affordable, and helps keep your car’s original parts and paint intact.
If your damage qualifies for PDR, we'll always recommend it as a smart, efficient option. And of course, we’ll walk you through every step to make sure it’s the right fit for your vehicle.
Honestly? Our goal is to send it back even better.
At Mysticz Auto Body, safety and quality come first. We use top-tier tools, advanced technology, and trusted repair methods to make sure your vehicle is restored to its pre-accident condition—or better. Every repair goes through a series of thorough checks, including pre- and post-repair diagnostics and calibrations, to make sure everything’s functioning exactly as it should.
Our team is packed with experienced techs who are constantly training to stay on top of the latest repair standards and techniques. From precision work to durable, high-end paint, we take pride in getting your vehicle back on the road looking sharp and driving safe.
When you leave Mysticz, you’ll feel like your car just got a second chance—done right the first time.
This is one of the most important questions to ask when choosing a repair shop—and we’re proud to stand behind our work. At Mysticz Auto Body, we offer a lifetime warranty on our paint and craftsmanship for as long as you own your vehicle.
Our warranty covers any issues that arise from the work we performed—not things like rust, rock chips, or everyday wear-and-tear (we’re looking at you, runaway shopping carts). If a problem ever comes up related to the quality of our repair, just bring it in—we’ll make it right.
After a fresh paint job, you’re free to hand wash your vehicle anytime—as long as it’s done gently. However, we recommend waiting at least 30 days before running it through an automatic car wash, exposing it to high-pressure water. We also recommend waiting 30 days before using any type of car wax or applying a ceramic coating to the repaired area.
Taking good care of your vehicle after paint work is key to keeping it looking sharp. Gentle washing, avoiding abrasive materials, and steering clear of harsh chemicals will help protect that fresh new finish for the long haul.
